keep the board stacked in your favour, they dont owe you anything and will oust you
make a shadow board with:
- serial founders
- the seed investors
- later stage founders
- therapists
do the first fundraising calls with VCs you aren't that keen on to practice for the ones you want, but keep some you aren't keen on as back up
don't do calls with associates, only partners
companies aren't sold, they're bought
every term is negotiable (e.g: allocate shares for ESOP at each round rather than upfront)
